What i learned about making academic slides

• Presentation are 10 minutes long, so make slide & select content according to this span of time;
• Use less text and more images;
• Craft a narrative about your research using story arcs;
• Everything must be consistent and coherent;
• Don’t make every slide a point slide;
  • You can use Tables, boxplots, histograms;
  • A comprensive list on Data and information visualization| Wikipedia;
• If you make a point slide, don’t use more than three points;
• Read the slide aloud and prepare a discourse
• Beamer is cool but limitated, other tools like PP are more creative-friendly
